You may qualify for funding if you are a homeowner or private tenant and the following statements apply:

Your home has an EPC rating of D, E, F or G* (you can check your home’s EPC rating here)
*EPC of D or E only for privately rented properties unless relevant exemptions are in
And either:

You have a gross total annual household income of £36,000 or less (before housing costs/bills)
OR

You receive a means-tested benefit (as listed below)
OR

Your home is within an LSOA (Lower Super Output Area) 1-2 postcode area (we will verify this for you once you have made your application)

Please note, if your application is initially assessed as eligible, the Welcome the Warmth team will contact you to verify your eligibility. Depending on how your eligible, you may need to provide information such as bank statements, payslips or council tax bill/proof of address; or if you are self employed accounts from your last financial year or trading summary. All evidence provided will be securely stored in line with GDPR regulations and will only be used to verify your eligibility for the Welcome the Warmth programme. Without verification of your eligibility, we will be unable to progress your application.

As part of our eligibility checks, we may review your asset value. If you are found to have assets of a high value, your application may be held for further inspection to ensure the support is reaching those who need it most.

This programme is available to owner occupiers and private rental tenants only. Please do not apply if you are a local authority or housing association tenant, as your application will not be accepted.
